Application Process of the Products
Silver Precon-Seal is an easy to use 2 component powder coating finishing solution.
1 – Mix
Mix Compound and Activator in the ratio of 100 : 60 by volume. Allow the mixture to become viscous enough for application without drags.
2 – Apply & Cure
Clean and prepare the surface by removing dust, rust, oil and grease. Apply the mix wherever required using a metal plate. Cure 24 hrs at 25° C. Accelerated curing at 20 mins at 100° C / 10 mins at 180° C.
3 – Finish & Powder Coat
Finish the area where putty is applied by wet sanding. 320 grade water proof sandpaper is recommended. The component is ready for powder coating!

Can we go for accelerated curing for putty?
Silver PreCon Seal cures at Room Temparature in 24 hours. You can go for accelerated curing in an oven at 150° celsius for 10 minutes.
Is Pre Treatment required to be done before or after application of putty?
Pre Treatment is to be done before application of putty , as the item may contain rust, oil & grease etc. Ensure complete cleanliness of the items before application of putty, for proper adhesion of putty to surface. Localised cleaning can also be done before application of putty.
The mix is not viscous and dragging after application.
The initial viscosity of the mix has been purposefully kept as low to have better pot life. Allow 30-40 minutes to mix to become more viscous and then apply putty without drags.
Patches are seen after powder coating in the area where putty is applied.
This happens if moisture or residue of pretreatment chemicals is left before application of putty. This can be taken care of by preheating the items at 100° C for 10 minutes, so that all moisture evaporates and patches will not appear after powder coating .
Putty is black in colour . Does it work well with white powders?
Yes. Though putty is black in colour, it can be used on all pastel colours including white.

To make the two part system easy to use and apply, we have only one packing of 200 Gms. Bulk discounts are available at the time of placing orders above 25kg.
The mix is not drying even after 24 hours!
At winter room temperatures or in colder regions, the putty may take some more time to cure. Also check whether mixing ratio of 100:60 is maintained to achieve curing within 24 hours.
